I am watching this retail sector for some time but should say that with 1 shop shop rite created a great brand which not even retailers with multiple outlets could not manage 1. shoprite if it goes will bring down footfalls and affect the brand name of the mall 2. no other can match the cleanliness super quality and ambience and excellent people that shoprite created. 3. so the option looks like this: a. nirmal will keep the brand and pay royalty b. shoprite will negotiate better terms with nirmal and stay back c. shoprite goes and big bazaar comes and gains out of this and nirmal loses I think it will be lose lose for dharmesh jain and the shoprite group as well as the people.
